Posts Dashboard

Get quick and easy access to primary actions for managing Posts from the Posts Dashboard.

 

 

Create a Post

To create a new Post, click on the ‘+ Add New Post’ button at the top right of the Post Dashboard. This will direct you to the Post Editor screen.

View Posts

All existing Posts are listed in a table in the Posts Dashboard.
Here are the table column headers and what they mean:
• Post Title = Name of the Post • Type = Category of the Post • Last Updated = When the Post was last saved • Actions = Quick actions for each Post • Published To = Published State

 

Sort List

Narrow down the list of posts by searching by title. Here’s how: 1. Click on the ‘Search Posts’ button to expose the ‘search by title’ field 2. Focus on the field exposed under ‘Post Title’ 3. Enter a word or phrase to narrow the results as you type

 

Environments

Click on the drop-down to switch between environments e.g. Staging and Production to manage which environment content is published. Production is the default environment.

 

Actions

You can access the following quick actions for each post from the table in the Posts Dashboard: • Edit • Copy • Promote • Delete

Hover over each button to reveal its action, or click on it to perform the action.

 

Edit

Make updates to an existing post by clicking on its Title or the Edit button under "Actions." Either action will direct you to the Post Editor screen.

 

Copy

Copy a post to use it as a starting point for creating a new post by clicking on the Copy button under "Actions." The copied post will appear in the list with "(copy)" included in its Title. You can edit from here.

 

Promote

Promote a post to an environment e.g. staging or production. Here's how: 1. Click on the Promote button under "Actions" 2. Select the desired environment from the dropdown in the modal that appears 3. Click on "Promote"

 

Delete

Delete a post to use it as a starting point for creating a new post. Here's how: 1. Click on the Delete button under "Actions" 2. Click on "Yes" in the confirmation dialog that appears

 

 

Post Editor

Create a new or edit an existing Post using the Post Editor. Be sure to save your changes for later and publish when ready.

 

 

Cover Cards

Each Post in a Feed is displayed as a Cover Card. "A "card" is a UI design pattern that groups related information in a flexible-size container visually resembling a playing card. — NN/g"

 

Stories

Stories are screens you can link to from a Cover Card optionally.

 

Preview

See your edits in real-time in the preview screen for both Cover Cards and Stories. You can switch between various viewports using the device drop-down.
